On September 27th, 2022, FEC Senior Expert Fred Pfeifer and our president Tobias Gerfin had the opportunity to present updates on metals and PFAS regulations at the International Conference of Food Compliance in Baveno, Italy. Fred made a broad introduction into the very important topic of fluoropolymer-coated cookware with reference to current trends in regulation in the EU and the US. Tobias was concentrating on the latest draft for testing of metals and alloys in food contact materials. It was a great opportunity to hear the challenges and directions of many materials and substances in the wild regulatory world.
