On November 18th the General Assembly of FEC took place in Milano. After looking back at a very busy 2022, Tobias Gerfin, President of FEC, presented the new vision of FEC with a broader definition of products and regions covered by FEC. To achieve this objective, FEC will establish a new office in Brussels and a new working group on regulations not directly linked to food contact materials. This includes important topics such as sustainability, packaging or the EU supply chain act. The president thanked all members of the Directors’ Committee and the Senior Experts group for their work and support of FEC. In the current political and business environment, it is very important to join our forces to be the voice of the industry. Three members from France and Germany, two members from Italy and one member from Switzerland were confirmed for the Directors’ Committee by the members joining the General Assembly. In the future, it would be great to add leaders from other European countries to this committee. Finally, Tobias Gerfin presented an intense plan for 2023 and FEC is looking forward to a busy and successful future.
