FEC carried out two webinars to update our member companies on the evolving PFAS legislations. Our webinar hosts Gernot Strehl (head of FEC´s Food Contact Expert Team) and Bianca Warkentin (FEC Food Contact Expert) covered following relevant topics:
=> REACH Restriction Proposal and national measures within the EU,
=> FEC´s position and wide ranged activities,
=> PFAS regulations in the US and FEC´s collaboration with CBA,
=> global PFAS regulations.
Bianca and Gernot also informed about FEC´s next steps:
=> continuing to follow and contribute to the legislative process in Europe and its member states,
=> expanding advocacy to additional member states and
=> developing a best practice guideline for emission reduction in PTFE coating plants.
More than 30 participants followed our invitation to the PFAS webinars, and we would like to thank everyone involved!
The next FEC webinars will be held in June on CBAM (European Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and in September our Experts from the Food Contact and Chemical Legislation Team will inform about a Product Compliance Guideto give best practice in creating customer DOCs.
